St. Thomas is one of the three U.S. Virgin Islands. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, St. Thomas is located in the Lesser Antilles, 1,600 miles south, south east of New York City; 1,100 east, southeast of Miami; and 70 miles east of San Juan. The island is 32 square miles. Charlotte Amalie, located on St. Thomas, is the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands and is the most visited port in the Caribbean.
