This act was sponsored by Senator Alicia “Chucky” Hansen, Senator Brian A. Smith, and co-sponsored by Senator Tregenza Roach.

Bill’s acceptance remarks were met with laughter, amazement and applause. “I was not born here, but I’ve been here for 65 years now. So, that makes me almost a native, but not quite! My children were born here. My grandkids were born here. This is my home, St. Croix.” As he thanked those responsible for this special recognition, he was sure to mention his wife, Tuddy, for all of her hard work and dedication to his success.
